KTVZ

Good Thursday Morning, Everyone…
Be prepared to deal with a long run of hot summer days! High pressure will dictate clear, sunny skies today with light winds out of the north. Highs will reach the mid to upper 90’s. Heat safety will be paramount. Skies will stay clear tonight and those light northerly breezes will turn SW after midnight. Overnight lows will be in the 50’s.
Sunshine, highs in the 90’s & lows in the 50’s will stay with us through the weekend and into next week.
What to do on these hot days:
1. Stay hydrated…drink plenty of water. Remember that alcohol and sugary drinks will work against you.
2. Dress for the heat.
3. Limit the amount of time you spend outdoors.
4. Check on each other…especially the elderly, kids and your pets. Watch for signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
