Body of missing Willamette swimmer recovered

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – Authorities have recovered the body of a swimmer who went missing last week in the Willamette River.

The Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office says the body of Leocadio Sendejas-Sanchez was found about four miles downriver from the Wheatland Ferry, the spot he was last seen Wednesday.

Relatives identified the body after it was found Sunday afternoon.
