Local Alert Weather – Mon. PM

KTVZ

Happy Monday evening, everyone!

Smoky skies will linger on the High Desert for the next few days. We’re not looking at any strong wind gusts in the near future, so the smoke is expected to settle. Dry conditions, hazy skies, and warm to hot temperatures are in our future.

Overhead we’ll see smoke and a few clouds around sunset. Temperatures will be in the lower 80s around that time. Smoke will stay with us through the overnight hours and we’ll see mostly clear skies overhead. Lows will be in the low to mid 50s, which is above average for this time of year. Winds will be calm, so smoke will settle closer to the surface by the early morning hours.

Tomorrow is forecasted to be another smoky, hot day. Temperatures will peak in the mid to upper 90s, which is about 10 degrees above average. We’re looking at sunny & smoky skies. Winds will be out of the northwest gusting 15 miles per hour in the afternoon.

The rest of the week will see sunny skies apart from smoke and hot temperatures. We’ll be in the 90s for the next several days with triple digit temperatures expected this weekend.

Prepare now by knowing the air quality index levels, hydrating, and keeping cool!
