Local Alert Weather, Tue. AM, 7.24.18
Good Tuesday Morning, Everyone…
A combination of conditions will mar our sunny skies today. Mid -level moisture coming from the south will bring us some high thin clouds, much like what we saw yesterday. Surface winds from the NW at 5-10 mph will carry smoke throughout the region. Highs will be in the mid to upper 90’s. We will stay mostly clear with smoke in the air tonight. Lows will be in the 50’s with light westerly breezes.
Air quality is expected to range from moderate to unhealthy for the next couple of days, at least. Despite the anticipation of pretty clear skies, extinguishing wildfires is the only real solution to improving the quality of the air.
Sunny, hot and dry conditions will prevail for the rest of this week and through the weekend ahead. In fact, by Sunday we are expecting just about everyone to see temps hit triple digits. We will start the new work week with highs in the low to mid 90’s
