Local Alert Weather, Wed. AM, 9.5.18

KTVZ

Good Wednesday Morning, Everyone…
Even though we are keeping an eye on a low pressure system developing along the coast of British Columbia, high pressure will continue to dominate the weather for the Pacific NW. Central Oregon will see plenty of sunshine today with warm daytime highs in the mid to upper 80’s. Breezes out of the north will be gentle at 5-10 mph. Clear skies will stay with us tonight, along with lows scattered through the 40’s. Breezes will become light and variable after midnight.
A quick reminder: school is back in session beginning today for much of Central Oregon. Please drive carefully. Watch for increased pedestrian traffic, as well as more bicycles.
That low pressure system working its way down the Canadian coastline will bring a chance of mild showers to the Willamette Valley beginning Friday. It is not likely that much, if any, of that rain will make it to the High Desert. We will, however, see some additional clouds and cooler temps through the weekend and into next week as that cold air mass slowly makes its way across our region.

HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
