(Update: Police provide initial info)

A car crossed the median of the Bend Parkway late Tuesday afternoon and struck a pickup truck, sending three people in the pickup to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver of the northbound car lost control, crossed the median and struck a southbound pickup around 4:30 p.m. near the Revere Avenue exit, police said.

It tied up traffic in both directions for various periods of time, as police and ODOT also closed on and off-ramps in the area.

ODOT TripCheck said the crash affected traffic in both directions near milepost 137 but did not say the road was completely blocked.

The ODOT site said shortly after 5 p.m. that only one southbound lane was still being affected, along with on and offramps in the area. The roadway was fully open again by about 5:30 p.m.

Also, an apparent outage has affected TripCheck’s live webcams statewide..
