Clark-Endicott named to National League of Cities panel

Krisanna Clark-Endicott, city councilor-elect in Redmond, has been appointed to the National League of Cities 2019 Transportation and Infrastructure Services federal advocacy committee.

This committee has the lead responsibility for developing NLC’s federal policy positions on issues involving transportation, including planning, funding, safety and security of public transit, streets and highways, aviation, railroads and ports.

“The National League of Cities Transportation and Infrastructure Committee plays a key role identifying community needs and, indeed, nationwide transportation and infrastructure deficiencies and possible solutions,” noted Redmond Mayor George Endicott. “Redmond is proud to have a council member appointed to such an important body, and be able to represent Redmond, the region, and the state of Oregon.”

As a committee member, Clark-Endicott will play a key role in shaping NLC’s policy positions and advocate on behalf of America’s cities and towns before Congress, with the administration and at home.

“Our federal advocacy committees help ensure policymakers in Washington know what’s happening on the ground in our communities – and what is needed from our federal partners,” said Karen Freeman-Wilson, mayor of Gary, Indiana, and president of the National League of Cities. “I am proud to have Krisanna Clark-Endicott join NLC’s Transportation and Infrastructure Services committee on behalf of her residents.
