Local Alert Weather – Wed. PM
Happy Wednesday evening, everyone!
Winds will be breezy at times through midnight and will become windy and gusty after that with gusts around 35 miles per hour. Overnight expect partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies as we’ll be dry until the second half of the day tomorrow. Lows will be in the upper 20s and lower 30s, which is still about 10 degrees above average.
Tomorrow begins with some sunshine, but that will quickly disappear as we get into the lunch hour. Winds will be very windy in the morning topping 35 to 40 miles per hour. Showers should arrive for most of Central Oregon around noon. Snow levels will still be fairly high in the morning around 6,400′, so we’ll start with rain showers. By the end of the day snow levels will fall to 3,500′ behind the cold front. Showers will turn to snow in higher elevations by the end of the day. Highs for Thursday will be in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
Showers wrap up overnight into Friday. We’ll see some slick roads late in the day Thursday and into Friday. Friday is also the beginning of winter, which will be at 2:23 p.m. Friday will be partly sunny with cooler highs in the upper 30s and lower 40s, which is back to average!
The weekend begins dry with chilly temperatures. Sunday will see rain showers that extend into Monday. Some showers will become mixed.
