Monday PM Local Alert Weather Forecast

KTVZ

Good evening Central Oregon and Happy New Year’s Eve!

Cold and clear out there for much of the day today across the region.

We saw temperatures today top out in the 30s for much of the High Desert.

With those clear skies out there we have seen an area of high pressure settle in over out region which is what is keeping us clear and dry out there.

With the area of high pressure in place we do have an air stagnation advisory in effect for Central Oregon as we are not seeing much movement of the air in the atmosphere keeping those pollutants trapped close to the earth surface.

Overnight tonight clear skies and cold lows down into the teens across the region.

Tomorrow looks to be a bit warmer then what we saw for Monday but not much as highs will be in the upper 30s to low 40s for the first day of 2019.

We will see a bit of a warm up by mid week with the return of clouds to the region as well, temperatures will top out int he upper 40s to low 50s.

There is a slight chance that we could start to see some snow showers develop here on the High Desert by next weekend!

Happy New Year Central Oregon!
