Local Alert Weather, Tue. AM (2), 1.8.19
Good Tuesday Morning, Everyone…
Jefferson 509-j schools: CLOSED FOR THE DAY.
Culver schools: Buses on snow routes.
All other schools open and operating under normal schedules.
Caution: Streets are very slippery this morning.
A winter storm system pressing into the west coast will bring mixed showers to the High Desert today. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s and SE winds will pick up to 5-15 mph. This will turn to freezing rain through the evening hours as temperatures drop back to freezing and a little below tonight. Mixed showers will stay with us tonight. Look for SW winds at 5-10 mph.
Some storm activity will stay with us into Wednesday and the break up Wednesday night. Thursday and Friday promise to be quite pleasant with highs pushing 50 degrees under a variable, but dry, cloud cover. The next system pushes into the west coast Saturday night. While it will deliver heavy, and in some areas, flooding rain to California, Central Oregon will just see a slight chance of showers Sunday and into next week.

HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
