Local Alert Weather – Thurs. PM

KTVZ

Happy Thursday evening, everyone!

Partly sunny skies will continue into a mostly clear and partly cloudy overnight. Lows will be in the 20s, which gets us closer to average. Winds will gust out of the southeast around 10 to 15 miles per hour. Patchy freezing fog is expected to develop over low lying elevations tomorrow morning and could spread as far south as Bend.

A ridge of high pressure extending over the region will increase our chances for patchy freezing fog through Sunday. Winds will be rather calm, so we won’t see much movement.

Daytime highs for Friday will be cooler than today’s — we’ll peak in the upper 30s and lower 40s. The average daytime high in 42 degrees at Robert’s Field in Redmond. We’ll see areas of fog and partly cloudy skies overhead to round out the week.

This weekend will be calm apart from the fog. Overnight lows will be in the low to mid 20s, which is slightly above average. Daytime highs under mostly sunny skies (again, above the fog!) will be in the low to mid 40s.

As we head into next week we’ll see our weather pattern change. Clouds will increase by Tuesday and we’ll see the chance for showers to develop by midweek.
