Local Alert Weather, Mon. AM, 1-14-19
Good Monday Morning, Everyone…
High pressure overhead would normally keep us under sunny skies, but a bit of an inversion and little or no wind will keep us somewhat overcast with areas of patchy fog today. Daytime highs will be in the upper 30’s to low 40’s. After a break in these conditions, patchy freezing fog will return tonight as lows dip into the 20’s. Winds will be light out of the NE.
These conditions are likely to be repeated Tuesday. A system bringing heavy rain to California will kick some of that storm activity in our direction beginning Tuesday night. This will mean a chance of mixed showers and freezing rain through Wednesday and Thursday. The next system from the NW will press in right behind. Despite mild temperatures we will cling to a chance of scattered showers right through the weekend.
