Local Alert Weather – Mon. PM
Happy Monday evening, everyone!
Tonight we’ll see increasing clouds after midnight. Temperatures will cool quickly before the clouds roll into the region. Winds will be gentle out of the south around 5 to 10 miles per hour. Overnight lows will fall into the teens and 20s for a cold start tomorrow morning. Areas of fog are expected to develop once again this evening.
Tuesday starts with areas of fog and cold temperatures. Snow levels begin around 2,200′. We’ll see a fairly gray day overall. Above the fog we can expect overcast skies for much of the day. Daytime highs will be in the upper 30s and lower 40s, which is average.
A chance for showers develops by the afternoon with a passing warm front, but most of the showers will fall on the Cascades and to our east. Snow levels rise due to the front up to 4,700′ by Tuesday evening. Shower chances for the Cascades and the east slopes continue into early Wednesday morning. Snow levels by that time will be around 6,000′.
Wednesday will see areas of fog and a slight chance for showers in the morning. Apart from the fog and shower chances we will see mostly cloudy skies. Highs will see a warm up in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Breezy conditions at times are expected on Wednesday.
The end of the week — and really extended forecast! — leaves us with highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s, areas of fog, and mostly sunny skies overhead. Overnight lows will be a little above average as well in the upper 20s and lower 30s.
