Local Alert Weather – Wed. PM
Happy Wednesday evening, everyone!
Our strong wind gusts have come and gone as we started the morning with gusts upwards of 50 miles per hour in many locations. We saw skies gradually clear for the most part as well. After having daytime highs more than 10 degrees above average we will see a quick cool down tonight. Overnight lows will be around average in the low to mid 20s. Partly cloudy to mostly clear skies will be overhead tonight. Areas of fog could develop through lower elevations and canyons overnight.
Tomorrow will see some fog, but apart from that will see mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will be off to a cold start in the mid 20s. Daytime highs will climb into the mid to upper 40s which is still above average, but cooler than we were for today. Winds will not be nearly as strong. We’ll see mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.
Overnight into Friday we’ll see mostly cloudy skies briefly. Lows will still be in the low to mid 20s. Areas of fog are more likely as we head into the end of the week and weekend. Highs for Friday will be in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
High pressure build in going into the weekend, so we’ll see clear skies overhead with mild daytime highs. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 50s. Fog will be more widespread this weekend with a temperature inversion in place.
A cold front will sweep through overnight Sunday into the beginning of next week. Temperatures will be cooler by Monday.
