Local Alert Weather – Thurs. PM

KTVZ

Happy Thursday evening, everyone!

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the region. We’ll see mostly clear to partly cloudy skies tonight. Temperatures will fall to around average in the low to mid 20s. Winds will be calm out of the southeast around 5 to 10 miles per hour.

An AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY is in effect from Friday at 4:00 a.m. until Monday at noon. The air will be still with calm winds, and we will likely see air quality levels suffer as a result. Those with respiratory issues will likely be most effected.

Friday will see daytime highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s. We’ll see some areas of fog form over the coming mornings. Overhead we will still see mostly sunny skies. Winds will be light.

Heading into the weekend we’ll see warmer daytime highs in the mid to upper 50s, which is more than 10 degreed above average. Overnight lows will bounce around in the 20s and lower 30s. Sunshine is expected, but with high pressure we will likely also see more areas of fog by the weekend.

Sunday night welcomes a cold front which will drop our temperatures back into the lower 40s, which is average. We’re still expecting dry conditions through the end of next week.
