Wyden sets rescheduled C. Oregon town halls
Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., will hold town halls starting next week in Multnomah, Lane, Jackson, Jefferson, Deschutes and Crook counties, ones that were delayed last month due to votes amid the partial government shutdown.
The three Central Oregon town halls, now set for Feb. 22-23, originally were scheduled for Jan. 25-26.
Heading into these six town halls between Feb. 15-23, Wyden has held 926 town halls statewide overall since promising Oregonians that he would hold at least one annual town hall in each of the state’s 36 counties.
“Open-to-all town halls where any Oregonian can come and ask any question are essential to developing ideas for the challenges facing our state and country,” Wyden said. “Throwing open the doors of government for these conversations every year in every county are part of what I call the ‘Oregon Way, and I look forward very much to these upcoming town halls in Multnomah, Lane, Jackson, Jefferson, Deschutes and Crook counties.'”
