(Update: City explains why decision made)

The Redmond Ice Skating Rink will close for the season on Sunday, Feb. 24.

The rink is located at the Downtown Redmond Plaza on SW 7 th Street between SW Deschutes Avenue and SW Evergreen Avenue.

The City of Redmond Parks Division and the Redmond Area Parks and Recreation District (RAPRD) partner to operate and maintain the portable ice-skating rink and provide a fun and economical family activity during the winter season.

A city representative said the two agencies that operate the rink made the joint decision as the number of skaters declines through the month of February.

“We would like to thank you for a great season, and we look forward to opening again in November 2019,” Friday’s announcement said.
