Good morning, Central Oregon,
Our skies were mostly clear Friday, but clouds started to make their way back into Central Oregon by the end of the day
Temperatures on Friday were anywhere from four to 17 degrees warmer than Thursday. Winds were an average of 5 to 10 mph out of the southwest and will stay this way through the weekend. With Bend reaching more than 15 mph at points on Friday.
A warming trend will continue through Sunday, but it will still be several degrees below average for this time of year.
The chance of snow showers increases as we make our way into Saturday.
On Saturday, highs will be slightly warmer than Friday, ranging from the upper 30s to 40s.
Chances of snow all across the region beginning Saturday afternoon.
A winter storm warning was set to take effect at 4 p.m. Saturday and last all the way until 4 a.m. Wednesday. Over that period, the National Weather Service predicts total snow of 9-14 inches, making for difficult travel and hazardous conditions.
There’s a 50-80 percent chance of snow on Sunday moving into Monday for all of Central Oregon.
On Tuesday, we will begin to see chances for snow decrease and we could again start to see partly sunny skies.
