Good Monday Morning, Everyone…

I am hoping that this update finds you safe this morning. After all of the school closures this morning the snow continued to fall. Likely it will continue through much of the day as it adds 7-10″ of fresh snow over the next 12-15 hours. Highs will only make it into the 20’s and northerly breezes at 5-10 mph will calm later in the day.

Santiam Pass is closed due to an avalanche and Willamette Pass is closed due to downed trees and power lines.

Clouds will break up a bit tonight, but we will cling to a chance of scattered snow showers. Lows will be in the single digits to mid teens. Breezes wil remain calm.

Skies will show signs of clearing Tuesday, but it won’t last long. The next wintry push will enter the region late in the day and bring more snow with it. Wednesday through Wednesday night we could see another 2-4″ of snow accumulate. The chance of snow showers will extend into Thursday morning and then we will see some partial clearing. Under a variable cloud cover we will stay cold through the weekend…low to mid 30’s during the day and teens overnight.

HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
