Local Alert Weather – Wed. PM

KTVZ

Happy Wednesday evening, everyone!

High pressure is exiting towards the east allowing for clouds to be pulled up from the south. Overnight we see more clouds overhead followed by rain showers. The chance for rain showers lasts overnight through the first half of the day Thursday. Overnight lows will be in the upper 20s and lower 30s . Winds tonight will gust around 10 miles per hour.

By the morning many locations across Central Oregon will wake up to wet roads. We see the good chance for showers for the first half of the day, and will see a gradual clearing trend follow. Temperatures will be slightly cooler than they were for Wednesday: highs top out in the upper 40s and lower 40s . Winds will gust around 15 miles per hour.

Overnight into Friday we see mostly clear skies before the next system approaches. Friday begins with temperatures in the upper 20s and lower 30s and partly cloudy skies. By the afternoon we’ll be covered in clouds and see the chance for showers kick up again. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s . Winds will be breezy through the evening gusting around 15 to 20 miles per hour as a cold front moves in for the beginning of the weekend.

Saturday will start with a chance for some remaining rain showers behind the cold front. Temperatures will be cooler for Saturday as a result topping out in the upper 40s and lower 50s . Saturday will see some leftover breezes as well. From Saturday afternoon on we will see another clearing trend as we head into Sunday.

Of the two weekend days Sunday looks to be our sunniest and warmest. Plan to get outside at some point and enjoy the temperatures in the low to mid 50s and mostly sunny skies! Because rain shower chances pick up again by Monday 😉
