Local Alert Weather – Wed. PM

KTVZ

Happy Wednesday evening, everyone!

Breezes stay with us overnight with winds gusting around 10 to 15 miles per hour out of the west. Overcast to mostly cloudy skies will be overhead with a slight chance for showers. Temperatures will be above average in the mid to upper 30s.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect through Thursday evening for snow accumulating in the highest elevations and snow falling down to pass level. Expect slushy, slick roads and likely low visibility during this time. Snow levels will hover around 4,600′ in the Cascades. Mt. Bachelor will likely see 6″ overnight.

Thursday starts with showers in the mountains and out to our east. Higher elevations could also see a few snow showers tomorrow morning. Mostly cloudy skies will be overhead apart from the chance for showers. High temperatures will be in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Winds will still be breezy gusting 15 to 20 miles per hour.

Friday will see highs slightly warmer in the mid 50s with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. Expect a breezy end to the week with winds around 20 miles per hour.

Saturday ends the gradual warming trend with highs in the mid to upper 50s. Clouds will be overhead and a slight chance for showers. Overnight into Sunday cooler air arrives so we see highs in the upper 40s on Sunday as a result.
