Linn County Jail inmate dies in apparent suicide
ALBANY, Ore. (AP) – Authorities say a Linn County Jail inmate has died in an apparent suicide.
The Oregonian/OregonLive reports attempts to save 46-year-old Albany resident Joseph William Hadley Thursday were unsuccessful, according to the sheriff’s office.
The agency didn’t say how Hadley died but said he was found alone in his cell during a routine check about 11:25 p.m.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office was asked to investigate the death, along with the Linn County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Records show Hadley had multiple open criminal cases in Linn County.
