Local Alert Weather – Fri. PM
Happy Friday evening, everyone!
Overnight a cold front will slowly move through the region. We’ll see gusty winds continue with this and a chance for thunderstorms through sunset. Rain shower chances pick up around midnight and we can expect rain through the overnight. Lows will be well above normal in the low to mid 40s.
Saturday morning will be off to a drizzly start with some light rain showers still across the region. We don’t warm too much for the beginning of the weekend as a cold front will leave us with daytime highs just in the low to mid 50s. Winds will be blustery Saturday as the front exits the area. Expect shower chances to dwindle overnight into Easter Sunday.
Snow levels will be around 5,900′ in the Cascades Saturday morning then will rise to 6,900′ Sunday. Rain showers are expected in the mountains, so Saturday will start on a wet note.
Easter Sunday will be beautiful! Temperatures will be cold in the morning in the upper 20s and lower 30s, so if you can delay the egg hunts I would do that for later in the day. Sunshine is expected all day long and highs will be in the low to mid 60s.
The nice weather sticks around for the beginning of next week with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s. We cool down beginning Wednesday and will see more clouds overhead.
Have a hoppy & safe holiday weekend!
