Local Alert Weather, Thu. AM, 4-25-19
Good Thursday Morning, Everyone…
A gentle flow out of the west that is not very moisture packed combined with some high pressure to our south will both ensure that Central Oregon sees a nice, warm day today. Under mostly sunny skies we will enjoy highs in the mid 70’s and a gentle NW breeze at 5-10 mph. Skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy tonight. Lows will range from the mid 30’s to low 40’s and breezes will calm after sunset.
Today will be the warmest day we see for the next several days. A developing ridge of high pressure just off shower will grow to a tall, narrow ridge often referred to as a blocking high. It will set us up for a more northerly flow of cool air that will begin a cooling trend starting Friday. While our skies will stay mostly sunny to partly cloudy into next week, we will watch our thermometers get back down to the upper 50’s to low 60’s by Saturday. These temperatures will be something a little closer to our average of 61 degrees for this time of year.
