Local Alert Weather, Thu. AM, 5-9-19
Good Thursday Morning, Everyone…
Today we get caught directly between a high pressure center to the west and low pressure to the SE. The resulting flow out of the NE will mean very breezy conditions this afternoon with the possibility of a few clouds gathering for a short time. Highs will be in the mid 70’s with those NE winds reaching 15-20 mph and gusts to 30 mph. Lows will be in the upper 30’s to low 40’s with clear skies and light and variable winds.
That ridge of high pressure to the west will continue to make its way eastward and it will deliver more sunshine to the region. With that will come a warming trend that will carry us into the mid 80’s Saturday and Sunday. We will stay warm Monday, topping out around 80 degrees, but we will also start to see early evidence of a system moving in from the west. Mostly sunny skies Monday will turn partly cloudy Tuesday, then mostly cloudy Tuesday night. Mostly cloudy skies will yield a chance of rain showers Tuesday night and that chance of rain will increase for Wednesday.
