Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM

KTVZ

Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!

Mostly sunny skies will carry us through the evening. We’ll see mostly clear skies overnight with low temperatures in the low to mid 50s. Winds will be light out of the north. High pressure will break down and the jet stream will flatten out over the coming days, so we’ll eventually cool down.

Wednesday will be one of our hottest days of the week with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Mostly sunny skies will start the day with mild lows, but then we see changes. A chance for thunderstorms develops in the early afternoon as moisture is pulled up from the south. Expect some gusty winds and lightning with these storms. Remember to head indoors if you hear thunder.

Thursday will be slightly cooler in the mid to upper 80s. Mostly sunny skies are expected with a chance for thunderstorms out east. Winds will pick up at this point and a FIRE WEATHER WATCH goes into effect in the afternoon. We’ll see low relative humidity levels, breezy winds, and warm temperatures.

Friday will also see a warm, breezy day with highs in the low to mid 80s. Our average daytime high is 75 degrees. Heading into the weekend we remain sunny and warm with highs in the low to mid 80s. Great chance to get Dad outside for Father’s Day! 🙂
