Local Alert Weather, Thu. AM, 6-20-19
Good Thursday Morning, Everyone…
While we will see a few clouds through the day today we will also experience just enough high pressure to keep rain showers to our north and NE. Highs will stay cool, only reaching the low to mid 60’s . NW winds will pick up to a gusty 10 -20 mph . Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy tonight, but we are not expecting any rain showers. NW winds will back off to 5 -10 mph after midnight. Lows will dip into the 30’s and those at upper elevations should prepare sensitive plants and animals for temperatures that will be down near freezing and potentially below.
Friday is the first day of summer and it officially begins at 8:54 am for us in Central Oregon! While our temperatures will still be a bit below average, topping out in the upper 60’s , it looks to be a pretty nice day with much gentler westerly breezes under mostly sunny skies. Saturday promises to be the warmest day in the near future with highs in the upper 70’s . Skies will stay mostly sunny Sunday and into next week. Highs will be in the low to mid 70’s . Our next bout of rain showers is not expected to arrive until Wednesday when a system moving in will thicken our clouds and deliver some late day rain.
