Series of small quakes rumble off Oregon coast
A series of earthquakes rumbled beneath the Pacific Ocean off the Oregon coast on Saturday morning, officials said.
KGW reported the U.S. Geological Survey said there were eight quakes between 5:43 and 7:26 a.m., all about 220 miles off the coast at Newport.
They ranged in magnitude from the weakest, at 3.2 on the Richter scale, to a pair of quakes that were 5.4 magnitude.
