Cascade Disposal offers app to assist customers

KTVZ

Cascade Disposal, a Waste Connections company, recently launched ‘Cascade Disposal,’ a mobile application that makes it easier for customers to stay connected to information about waste and recycling collection.

Not only will customers find a collection schedule specific to house address, the ‘Cascade Disposal’ app will also help them be better recyclers. The app contains a searchable list of common household waste items with details on how the item should be recycled or disposed of, locally. Additionally, the app provides options for customers to be notified of weekly collection services and service interruptions. Residents can download the ‘Cascade Disposal’ mobile app for Apple or Android smartphones.

Customers who don’t have an Apple or Android smartphone can also visit the Cascade Disposal website at https://www.CascadeDisposal.com and search for their home address in the My Schedule tool. Customers can then:

·Sign up for waste collection reminders and service alerts by email, phone call, or text message.

·Download their collection schedule into iCal , Google calendar or Microsoft Outlook calendar.

·Print their collection schedule.

At https://www.CascadeDisposal.com, residents can also search the “Waste Wizard” to find out if a material can be reused, recycled, composted, or disposed.

“Our customers do a great job recycling and diverting waste away from landfill,” said Cascade Disposal District Manager Erwin Swetnam . ” Now it’s even easier to stay connected to information about solid waste management in our community with the ‘Cascade Disposal’ mobile app and online tools. We have been so pleased with the response and encourage customers to sign up for collection day reminders, so they never forget to put out their recycling again. ”
