Local Alert Weather, Thu. AM, 6-27-19
Good Thursday Morning, Everyone…
The slow moving storm system that brought thunderstorms to the region yesterday will do so again today. Highs will be in the mid 60’s with NW winds at 5 -15 mph . Downdrafts from thunderstorms can be cold and windy, and may contain more hail. Thunderstorms will weaken through the evening and turn to a chance of rain overnight. Lows will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s with light and variable winds.
We will cling to a chance of showers Friday, but with the main body of the system moving northward we will be out from under the threat of thunderstorms. Clearing will continue Friday night and that will lead us into a very fair weekend. Under mostly sunny skies, both Saturday and Sunday are expected to top out in the mid 70’s . These fair conditions are expected to last right through the middle of next week.
