(Update: Highway closed for more repairs)

The O’Neil Highway east of Redmond was closed again Tuesday morning for more repairs and cleanup following a semi-truck crash on Monday.

ODOT reported the closure was expected to remain in place for most of the day and that motorists should find alternate routes.

The crash left an overturned rock truck and belly-dump trailer on its side, also damaging guardrail and pavement and causing a diesel fuel spill.

The semi overturned on state Highway 370 near milepost 4.5, east of Lone Pine, late Monday morning. The driver reportedly was unhurt, but damage to guardrail and cleanup of the scene continued until late afternoon.

ODOT helped establish roadblocks on either side of the crash scene and urged motorists to avoid travel in the area until the cleanup and recovery work was complete.
