Equine Outreach receives $12,000 grant

KTVZ

Equine Outreach, a local equine rescue group that has been active in Central Oregon since 2004, has been awarded a $12,000 grant from the Phoenix Fund of The Oregon Community Foundation.

This grant funding will allow them to hire a skilled Outreach Specialist to deliver community education, guide volunteer training, and partner with other groups focused on equine rescue in Central Oregon.

Equine Outreach is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the equines of the world we share. EOI will bring to bear every resource at their disposal to heal and rehabilitate and when appropriate rehome each equine who enters their care. We will model compassion, speak out against animal abuse, and promote responsible equine guardianship.

Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) puts donated money to work in Oregon – more than $100 million in grants and scholarships support Oregonians annually. For nearly 45 years, OCF grantmaking, research, advocacy and community-advised solutions have helped individuals, families, businesses and organizations create charitable funds to improve lives for all Oregonians.
