Eagle Point’s Womack named Redmond HS football coach
Redmond High School announced Thursday it has selected Seth Womack of Eagle Point as the new head football coach. Womack has been hired to replace former head coach Brent Wasche, and will lead the Panthers forward into 2019 and beyond.
Womack brings 15 years of experience coaching both collegiate and high school football to Redmond High. During the past six years, he served as head coach and district athletic director for Eagle Point High School.
“Seth brings successful head coaching experience, a deep heart for student athletes, a strong knowledge base and unmatched enthusiasm for the task ahead,” said Redmond School District Athletic Director, Kevin Bryant. “Seth wowed the committee during the interview process, and I know he will do the same with athletes, parents and coaches in the Redmond Panther football program.”
Womack will also serve as the new dean of student success at Redmond High School, replacing former head baseball coach Doug Taylor, who is now serving as assistant principal at Redmond High School.
“I am thrilled to lead the Redmond Panther football program,” said Womack. “It is an honor to be working in this district with the coaches, parents and athletes. I am looking forward to the work ahead and to continue building on the strong tradition of football success at Redmond High School.”
Womack began his coaching duties Thursday and will immediately begin meeting with players, parents and coaches and continuing summer work toward the 2019 fall football season.
