Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM
Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!
We’re currently under a RED FLAG or FIRE WEATHER WARNING through 5 a.m. Wednesday for the threat of lightning causing fires and winds helping them spread. There are also dry fuels in the region, so this is enough to elevate the Fire Danger.
Overnight winds will go from gusty to blustery, and we’ll see thunderstorm chances dwindle. Mostly clear skies will be overhead by the early morning hours. Low temperatures will cool into the low to mid 40s, which is cooler than we were last night.
Wednesday will see a sunny day with cooler daytime highs. High temperatures will peak in the low to mid 80s, which is slightly below normal. Winds will gust around 15 miles per hour.
The sunshine sticks around through the rest of the extended forecast with maybe a few clouds. Highs will be back to the 90s by Thursday, and we’ll stay hot through Friday. Winds pick up at times towards the end of the week, bringing a slightly cool down for the weekend. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.
