NORWOOD, Ohio (WLWT) — A Norwood family has created a spooky Halloween display to get their neighborhood in the spirit for spooky season.

The display features a group of skeletons and not just any skeletons — these skeletons come with a backstory that’s sure to send shivers down your spine. Homeowner Rob Busemeyer wrote a fictional story of the haunted Halloween hearse to accompany the family’s eerie display.

Busemeyer’s story says a haunted Halloween hearse was cruising down Ivanhoe Avenue in Norwood on Oct. 2 when it crashed through the family’s front yard, knocking over the fence and gravestones in the process. The hearse also caused damage to the family’s lawn.

According to Busemeyer’s spooky fictional story, as the hearse’s hood was popped open and smoke was billowing out, the chauffeur driver skeleton put his hands on his head in disbelief and the other skeletons got out of the hearse. They dug a hole, which happened to be an old grave.

A golden skeleton laying in the casket inside the hearse opened the casket to see what happened as other kid skeletons were hovering around the hearse, which was the story idea behind the Busemeyer family’s Halloween display.

You can check out their Halloween display, The Haunted Halloween Hearse, at 4023 Ivanhoe Avenue in Norwood through Halloween.
