DEDHAM, Mass. (AP) — Jurors in the Karen Read trial told the judge on Friday that they’ve been unable to reach a unanimous verdict. The judge sent them back for more deliberations, asking them to clear their heads and try again. They’ve been asked to decide whether prosecutors have proven that Karen Read killed her police officer boyfriend by slamming into him with her Lexus and then leaving him in the snow after a night out drinking. Her defense says John O’Keefe got out of her SUV and was beaten up in a fight before officers framed Read for his death.
