Rainbow Lift at Mt.Bachelor closed until further notice after backup power failure

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- A major power outage this week at Mt.Bachelor temporarily closed all lifts, and Rainbow Chair experienced a backup power failure. Mt.Bachelor says it'll be closed for maintenance until further notice. Rainbow Lift is small, and its trails can be accessed by several others nearby lifts.

The outage comes on the heels of a record start for Mt.Bachelor and it's historic sale by owner, POWDR Corp.
