La Pine Woman Facing Criminal Charges Following Deadly Crash in Sisters

SISTERS, Ore. (KTVZ) -- An 81-year-old Bend woman died Friday night after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Sisters. Deschutes County sheriff's deputies arrested the driver on charges of criminally negligent homicide, DUII and reckless driving.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:24 p.m. on Feb. 6, 2026, in front of Rancho Viejo at 150 E. Cascade Ave. Investigators determined that Colleen Rose Greene was crossing the roadway when she was hit by a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Emily Alexis Pickhard of La Pine.
Emergency responders provided medical attention to Greene at the scene of the crash. She was then transported to St. Charles-Bend, where she later died from her injuries.
Following the investigation, Pickhard was arrested and lodged at the Deschutes County Adult Jail. In addition to the homicide and DUII charges, she faces a charge of reckless driving.
Cascade Avenue, also known as Highway 20, remained closed for approximately 3.5 hours while investigators processed the scene. The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office received assistance during the investigation from the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District, Black Butte Ranch Police Department and Oregon State Police.
