Prineville Review

ALFALFA, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Alfalfa Fire District Board is scheduled to meet on Wednesday evening and one of the agenda items is "Fire Chief Recruitment." Currently, the Alfalfa Fire District is lead by Chief Chad LaVallee.

Following previous reporting and reporting from our partners at the Prineville Review, the district is under investigation over alleged election law violations tied to the levy campaign, which would double taxes. The levy question is on the May primary ballot.

In addition, Deschutes County and state leaders confirmed to the Prineville Review, Chief Chad LaVallee illegally taxed Juniper Acres property owners due to improper filings.

On Wednesday's agenda, there is a line item under "old business" that is set to address this issue.

KTVZ News' Spencer Sacks will be at tonight's meeting and provide an update on these items on KTVZ News at 10:00 pm on FOX and KTVZ News at 11:00 pm.
