SeaPort Airlines launches seasonal service from Redmond, Oregon

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) – SeaPort Airlines is launching new seasonal service from Redmond with flights scheduled to begin May 22nd with destinations in the Pacific Northwest. It's a private chartered plane service, which means you skip TSA, and enjoy the exclusivity of flying in your own plane.

The limited seasonal service will operate on Mondays and Fridays, running from May 22nd until Labor Day. It will provide connections to PDX, Seattle's Boeing Field and Spokane's Felts Field.

Kent Craford, CEO and Founder of SeaPort Airlines, leads the company in this new venture. The Central Oregon service is designed to support summer leisure travel, weekend getaways, outdoor recreation and business connectivity during the peak travel season.

Seaport Airline began its operations providing air services in Alaska. Crayford lives in Portland and has family in Central Oregon. He got tired of the lengthy commutes firsthand. Crayford found that commercial flights between Bend and Portland often took as long as driving or taking a train. He decided to launch a private flight service using his aircraft to address this issue.

Crayford, described the aircraft used for the service. “So we operate, Pilatus PC twelves, they're a Swiss built turboprop, pressurized, they can fly high and fast, up over the clouds. You can, you can get to Portland in about 40 minutes. It's a quick flight. It's, it's an amazing aircraft. It's primarily used in business aviation. So, you know, it's typically used for the private jet set, but here we use it in an airline configuration.”

Prices can vary, but you can get from Redmond to Portland in about an hour. More info and tickets are available on their website.
