Airmen eject safely after jets collide at Idaho air show

Fighter Jets Collide at Idaho Air Show

ELMORE COUNTY, Id (KTVZ) -- Two fighter jets collided during an air show in Idaho on Sunday, leading organizers to cancel the event. All four airmen involved in the incident ejected safely, approximately two miles from Mountain Home Air Force Base.

The collision marks another incident at Mountain Home Air Force Base, which has experienced previous accidents during air shows. A Thunderbirds fighter jet crashed at the base in 2003. Additionally, a hang glider pilot died at the base during an air show in 2018. Sunday's event was the first air show hosted at the base since the 2018 incident.
