WASHINGTON, D.C. (KTVZ) -- Crook County High School NJROTC cadets have arrived in Washington, D.C., where they will represent Oregon in the National Memorial Day Parade this Monday. This opportunity was made possible through significant community support and generous donations.

The cadets have already begun making memories in the nation's capital, visiting historical sites such as the WWII Memorial and touring the Pentagon. This trip is an honor and an opportunity for the students to participate in a national event.

The journey to Washington, D.C., and the experiences there would not have been possible without financial contributions. The trip was funded through the generosity and support of the community, various donors, families and local businesses.

The community has been thanked for investing in these young leaders, providing the cadets with a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The cadets are representing Crook County High School, Crook County and the state of Oregon on a national stage.
