OnPoint grant funds BendNEXT program for emerging Central Oregon leaders

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- OnPoint Community Credit Union has awarded a $3,500 grant to the BendNEXT Foundation to fund leadership development scholarships for 10 emerging leaders in Central Oregon. This funding aims to strengthen the region's workforce pipeline and address ongoing employer challenges.

The grant is part of OnPoint Community Credit Union's bi-annual Community Grants & Giving program. The BendNEXT Foundation will utilize the funds to provide emerging leaders with skill-development workshops, networking opportunities and year-round mentorship circles.

Central Oregon employers continue to face significant workforce challenges. These issues are tied to high housing costs and child care shortages in the region. Such barriers can hinder professional development and long-term talent retention for local businesses.

The leadership development scholarships provided through the BendNEXT Foundation program are designed to counteract these challenges. The program's comprehensive approach includes practical skills-development workshops, valuable networking opportunities and ongoing support through mentorship circles.
