Nonprofit Street Dog Hero Sets 4th Annual Gala in Bend for Sept. 19

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Street Dog Hero will hold its 4th Annual Street Dog Hero Gala on Sept. 19, 2026, in Bend, Ore. The event raises funds for local and international animal rescue and veterinary efforts.

The gala will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Oregon. Proceeds from ticket sales, auctions and donations will support the organization's ongoing spay, neuter and adoption programs.

The black-tie optional event will feature live entertainment, dinner, drinks, live and silent auctions and rescue stories.

A Golden Ticket Raffle associated with the event will sell up to 100 entries. The winner will receive the first selection of an exclusive live auction package before open bidding starts.

Street Dog Hero has been active since 2017. Since its inception, the organization has rescued more than 4,570 dogs and found them homes.

In addition to its adoption work, the group has provided more than 13,483 free or reduced-rate spay, neuter and wellness services for dogs and cats.

Street Dog Hero conducts rescue and wellness operations both locally and internationally. The organization works in countries including Mexico, Jamaica, South Korea, China, India, the Bahamas, Afghanistan, Armenia and the United States.
