Cinderella’s Closet Open for Homecoming

Cinderella's Closet

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- High school students in Deschutes County can borrow free formalwear and accessories for the upcoming homecoming season through the Cinderella's Closet program. The Assistance League of Bend will open the closet this Saturday, October 3 and Saturday, October 10.

The Assistance League of Bend established Cinderella's Closet in 2018 to ensure financial constraints do not prevent students from attending school dances. The program provides long and short dresses, shoes, jewelry, purses and other accessories at no cost.

The program is located at the Assistance League of Bend Chapter House, 210 SE Urania Lane in Bend. Hours of operation on October 3 and October 10 are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Participating students must bring a permission slip signed by a parent or guardian. Required forms and additional details are available on the organization's website.

The Assistance League of Bend operates as an all-volunteer nonprofit organization in Deschutes County without paid staff. Funds raised by the group remain local to support its community-based initiatives.

Borrowed dresses and accessories must be returned to the drop box on the Chapter House front porch within three days following each school's homecoming dance.
