Power outage hits 2,500 Pacific Power customers on Bend’s Westside; some restored as repair crews investigate cause

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – More than 2,500 Pacific Power customers lost power for hours on Bend’s Westside Sunday afternoon. Repair crews restored service to some of those affected within two hours as they investigated the cause.

The utility’s outage map said the first report came just before 2 p.m. and 2,507 customers were affected. The initial restoration estimate was before 5 p.m. The number affected dropped to about 1,300 before 4 p.m.

Pacific Power spokesman Simon Gutierrez said he had no additional information to share but assured “we are working to restore power as quickly as possible.”
