Redmond woman killed in rollover crash on Interstate 82 in Umatilla County

HERMISTON, Ore. (KTVZ) – A Redmond woman was killed Friday evening in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 82 in Umatilla County, Oregon State Police reported Wednesday.

A preliminary OSP investigation found that Madyson Braelyn Curtis, 20, was driving a black Chevrolet Tahoe heading west on I-82 near milepost 8 when it left the roadway for an unknown reason. Troopers said the vehicle rolled several times and eventually came to a rest in the freeway's median.

Curtis was thrown from the SUV and died at the crash scene.

The highway was impacted for about 30 minutes during the on-scene investigation by OSP's Collision Reconstruction Unit.  OSP was assisted by the Hermiston Fire Department and ODOT.
