PHOENIX (AP) — Mark Meadows, former president Donald Trump’s chief of staff, faces the same conspiracy, fraud and forgery charges as the other named defendants in Arizona’s fake electors case, the state attorney general’s office says. Meadows was served with the indictment, revealing nine felony counts, Richie Taylor, a spokesperson for the Arizona attorney general’s office, wrote in an email to The Associated Press on Wednesday. Charges have not been made public against one defendant, Rudy Giuliani, the Trump-aligned former New York mayor. The indictment names 11 Arizona Republicans who submitted a document to Congress falsely declaring that Trump won in Arizona in the 2020 presidential election.
