Bend Bikes, Central Oregon YIMBY to host community social on housing, transportation

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Central Oregon YIMBY (Yes In My Back Yard) and Bend Bikes are teaming up for a community social event focused on the future of housing and transportation in Bend.

The groups will host the gathering on Tuesday, June 23 at UPP Liquids from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Organizers say the event is designed to bring people together in a casual setting to talk about how the city can grow in a way that supports livability, housing access, and a wider range of transportation options.

Attendees are invited to enjoy a drink while connecting with others interested in shaping Bend’s development. Discussions will center on ideas for building a more accessible and sustainable community, including how housing and transportation planning can better meet the needs of residents.

The event is open to the public.
