BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Cascade Cycling Classic Downtown Criterium returns to downtown Bend on Sunday, June 21, with a full day of racing and community events.

Races begin at 11:00a.m. and continue until 8:00p.m., with cyclists riding a closed downtown course that starts and finishes on NW Wall Street near the Tower Theatre.

This year, organizers are adding a new All-Bikes Ride, giving riders of all abilities the chance to take two laps on the course. Any non-gas-powered pedal bike is allowed, including e-bikes, and helmets are required.

The event will also include a free Kiddie Race for children ages 0 to 8 at 3:55p.m., with water bottles, candy and participation medals for young riders. The Horner Cycling Foundation Junior Team is scheduled to race from 3:25p.m. to 3:50p.m.

KTVZ's Claire Elmer will be attending the event. Tune in for her full report Sunday on KTVZ News at 6:00p.m.
